Starting From Scratch? Read this…
Not sure where to start in your weight-loss journey? Whether you’re starting fresh or trying to get re-started, it can feel OVERWHELMING or EXCITING or CONFUSING or HOPEFUL or SCARY… honestly- it can feel like you’re on a rollercoaster of all those emotions!
And just like rollercoaster, you might find yourself alternating between wanting to:
1) DO ALL THE THINGS ALL AT ONCE- cut out all junk food, workout 6x a week for 1hr+, start reading self development, start waking up at 5am, meal prep all your food in those tiny perfect containers and clean out your entire fridge so you have a place for them.
or you might want to…
2) SIT. THINK ABOUT IT. FEEL OVERWHELMED. CLICK “NEXT EPISODE” ON NETFLIX- maybe you start thinking about how hard it will be or how you need to find the right meal plan or the right workout or the right time to start… and it never comes!
Whether you’re a 1 or 2, the end result will be the same.
When we go super hard and overhaul our life… we rely on a heck on of willpower to get started and keep going and eventually burn out! We fall back into our old habits as soon as an obstacle comes up!
And if you’re overwhelmed before you even start, chances are your brain has a ton of excuses and reasons that it’s never the right time to start. So you stay feeling stuck and frustrated!
I know I’ve been a 1 and a 2 at different times during my life, but I don’t ever experience those extreme high or lows anymore- because I learned a different way to tackle my weightloss journey and build my habits.
Here’s how you can get off the rollercoaster, too (or maybe avoid it altogether!)
1) Follow the Ready 4 Habits for weightloss. These are the 4 habits I use and all my clients use to lose their weight for the last time. I put them in a get started guide that helps you start implementing them immediately and you can get yours for FREE by clicking here!
2) Keep your habits extremely doable- they should feel almost TOO EASY. A great question to help you do this is:
“Is this something I can see myself doing long term?!”
If not, don’t do it. Results only last as long as our habits do.
3) Keep a ‘wins log’ or success page in your journal! Cheer yourself on. If you have time to beat yourself up, you have time to cheer yourself on. And only one is going to help you keep going (spoiler alert- it’s the cheering)
BONUS: Listen to the Ready to Lose podcast to keep your mindset in the right place and get free coaching each week!
That’s all you need to get started and to start seeing progress. Start here! Everything else is just extra.

And keep going! Results don’t come from being perfect or doing the most, they come from consistency.
